A Parent’s Job Is Never Over

After tucking the boys in after an evening of  trick-or-treating for Halloween, I walked around picking up costume items strewn about the house.  It was tiring work.  A mask here, pants there, candies, items of clothing on the stairs…After walking for blocks around the neighborhood, I really just wanted to relax.  But really, is a parent’s job ever done?

When the kids are fast asleep in their beds, we take the quiet time to prepare their meals, get their clothes ready for the next day’s school or their game.  We sleep lightly when they are sick so we could be ready when they call, sometime even going to their rooms a few times throughout the night.

Yes, our jobs is never over but some of us would never trade it for anything.
